You move throughout your day completing tasks and checking off to-do lists, but lately those pesky emotions have been surfacing again - the ones you haven’t wanted to face for awhile. Perhaps it’s that tingly feeling in your stomach letting you know that you’re anxious. You’re not sure exactly why it’s there or what to do with it.

Perhaps it’s a feeling of sadness or a general malaise that you’ve been ignoring and distracting yourself from but lately the distractions are no longer working.

Or perhaps the conflict you and your partner have been facing has finally led to a stalemate and you wonder if there’s any possible way forward from here.

You wonder if there’s something wrong with you or with your relationship. Deep inside these questions have stirred deeper questions - is there more to existence than getting through my day-to-day routine? Can there be more meaning, authentic connection, and joy?

I am passionate about my work as a therapist, joining with you to delve deep into your internal world. Nothing is wrong with you. These emotions and stirrings are messengers, seeking your attention and pointing the way towards your growth edge. They are calling forth wholeness and radiance within you.

In our work together, we will listen to the thoughts and emotions that are most present to you. We will connect the dots between past, present, and future. We will explore the unique invitation of your soul, your psyche.

I work with men, women and couples who want to experience more connection with themselves and others.

Individuals who work with me report living a more soulful life by:

  • growing their sense of self

  • living more present in the moment

  • engaging shadow work

  • experiencing self-compassion

  • cultivating a deep sense of aliveness

Couples report creating a more fulfilling and passionate relationship by:

  • reflecting on how they emotionally and psychologically impact their partner

  • maintaining their sense of self while staying emotionally connected to their partner

  • leaning in and getting to the root of conflict and disconnection

  • exploring and addressing personal fears, insecurities, and defenses

  • developing emotional resilience and taking responsibility for their wellbeing

Therapy is a place of containment, much like the land is to the sea, holding the raging rough and tumble, the swirling, the rhythmic ebb and flow, and the stillness. It would be an honor to work with you and together explore the depths of your soul.

Angela Ferrara

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children, and adolescents. I have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology.

I’m influenced by relational psychodynamic therapy, Jungian depth psychology, Internal Family Systems, the Enneagram, and psychologies of liberation, being mindful of systemic and social justice issues in the way I approach therapy. These modalities reach beyond simply helping you cope with the issues that you’re facing by doing the deeper work that will allow you to live more fully alive.

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors as well as spending time with friends. I love living in the PNW and am grateful to call Seattle home.
